Do You Have An eReader?

No one in our family has a dedicated eReader.  Not yet, anyway.

But, I recently discovered that ChristianBook.com has free (sample) eBooks that can be read on your cell phone, laptop, desktop, iPad, Sony Reader, nook or Kobo.

So I decided to try their app on my phone and it has been a fun way to stick my toe in the water of the eReader pool!

Honestly, I had my doubts as to whether I would like reading a book without the book.  Know what I mean?  Somehow, I thought I would be missing out by not being able to physically turn the pages.

But I LIKED it.  Granted, my phone is small.  But I can adjust the print size for my aging eyes.  And the lighted screen was actually easier to read.  I also found the phone easier to hold than an actual book.

Since I always (hopefully!) have my phone with me, it was super convenient to pull it out and read while waiting in the pick up line at school, or waiting at the soccer field.

The experience has me thinking that maybe I might like a real eReader.  Do you have one you would recommend?  And if so, what do you like/dislike about it?

If you don’t have one yet, you might want to check out the eBook application I mentioned.  It’s really easy to get started—they walk you through it step by step!--and the free books make it a risk-free dip in the eReader pool!

For those of you following the remodeling of my sons’ bedrooms, I have some more pictures for you!  But we’re having trouble with my computer and network connections right now and until we get it figured out, I can’t retrieve pictures from my camera.  But hopefully soon!  Bedroom number 2’s bathroom is finally complete.  :)

I don't have one, and I have the same feelings you did...I love books! I love how they feel, and even how they smell (sometimes!). An eReader couldn't possibly have the same feel, you know?
That being said, I'm not against eReaders, I just don't want books to disappear! And I will check out the free sample...thanks.

I'm still holding out on an ereader, though I did download the kindle app for my pc and started collecting free books anticipating the day I finally get one!
