My husband’s plane landed in the Netherlands during the wee hours of yesterday morning. Pray his work goes smoothly so he can come home on schedule, April 25.
I’m officially flying solo.
We had incredible soccer games Saturday and Sunday. (Jane, my little GPS buddy, did a fine job of getting us there, btw.) Although both games were loses according to goals scored, the guys played incredibly well. Fans were on their feet the whole second half of the game, Sunday!
My boys are numbers Seven and Eleven. Isn’t that a hoot? We didn’t plan the number pair, but it gets a lot of chuckles. And makes it easy for me to remember when I’m looking for them out on the field.
Maybe the Seven Eleven store chain should sponsor them?! Or donate a new camera so I can take better pictures of their namesakes… Lol!
Tomorrow is Kindergarten registration and orientation. It’s a BIG thing for us. I say us, because although it’s big for my little guy, I think it’s bigger for me. I’ll try to save my tears for the actual first day of school in August.
But no promises.
How does the little guy feel? He’s sitting on the fence about the whole going to school thing.
And I’m sitting there with him.
My Dad gave the family a scare. Apparently, he couldn’t breathe Saturday night and my brother called 911. With a pace maker and a history of heart problems, Dad’s symptoms were cause for alarm.
After lots of tests, doctors concluded he had an acute case of bronchitis and eventually sent him home with an inhaler. Thankfully, my brother and Sil live close to my parents and were able to stay with mom.
Being so far from family stinks sometimes.
Spring is turning everything beautiful. I can’t wait to share some pictures of our yard this week. I’ll leave you with our Cherry tree for now.
I don’t say it nearly enough, but…
Thank you, guys. Words can’t tell how much your encouragement has meant to me. Seriously. You all are more than followers. You have become sincere and special friends and it’s a joy to share the journey with you!

What a gorgeous tree! Glad your hubby made is safe and secure. Praying his time is productive and it goes by quickly for you!
PS - love the 7-11 theme!
Praying your husband can come home on schedule! My middle child starts kindergarten in Aug., too, and it really does make me sad. I am going to miss her so much!
I'm glad the soccer games went well and your husband arrived safely. I hope the rest of the week is equally smooth.
