A Chicken Soup Kind Of Night

I wasn’t going to participate in PSF today.  My soul is feeling weary, and several of us here are fighting a nasty cold.

It’s the cough-all-night-and-wake-up-cranky, kind of cold.

In fact, the plan tonight was to deliver our fundraiser stuff as quickly as we could, find some chicken soup, and send everyone off to bed early.

Only, one of us didn’t make it through his chicken soup.  And his snoring little self gave me permission to stop my frenzy of mother duties.Chicken Soup Kind Of Night And sneak a picture before I carried him off to bed.

Those few unexpected minutes of snuggle time did more than the soup for me.

Sigh.

It was like a hug for my weary soul.  And I highly recommend it.

That's very touching.

They do have a way of stopping us in our tracks once in a while, don't they?

You and I really ARE having the same feelings! I am sick and sick of it, and I am sick of worrying about stuff. Why oh why don't we live closer so we can commiserate over some chocolate and moon pies? Oh, and some chicken soup, of course.

Feel better my friend!

I'm sorry you're all under the weather. Plus, it's no fun when you're not feeling good physically and emotionally at the same time. I wish I could give you a great big hug or at least keep you from eating all the moon pies! That's right, make room for ice cream instead. That always makes the blues go away, trust me!

Hope you feel better!!! :)

Well, I do hope your house feels better soon. I know all those feelings well. But those tender moments with the kids are so soothing and healing. And at least you got the picture to remind you.

What a cutie! Makes me want to head off for bed too... as long as I get to stop and snuggle with my two little guys!

why do I feel like a careless mother today?
I read some moms worried about so many things and I don't care bout nothing at all..

I hope he gets well soon.

Snuggles make a lot of things feel better.

Love it when they fall asleep eating! My twins are really good at falling asleep on the couch on the weekends.... then I have to pack them up the stairs, they are getting heavy! I reflect on how I used to be able to pack them up together.... not anymore!
