In Grace Unplugged, Grace Tray wants to be the next singing sensation. Yet her parents want her to go to college. Convinced they will never understand, she sets off on her own to chase her dream. Along the way, she will need to make some choices. Will she truly own the faith she grew up with? Or cast it aside on the slippery slope of compromise that showbiz often demands?
I enjoyed this story and think you will too!
Although I didn’t get to finish the companion book, Own It, I love the author’s challenge to OWN your personal faith. Too often, young people follow along in their parents’ footsteps without giving much thought to the foundations of their faith. Knowing what you believe and why is crucial at any age. But as a young person, it makes all the difference in the world whether he or she truly “owns” their faith.
The movie Grace Unplugged (on which the book is based) releases October 4th. I would really like to see it! The trailer looks awesome!
If you would like to have a copy of the novel along with the companion book, leave a comment below. I’ll pick one winner on Friday. As always, please make sure I have a way to contact you!
