Well, the results of the PET scan are not what we were hoping for. Dad’s cancer has spread to the lining that surrounds the stomach, liver, etc. Surgery has been removed as an option, as has radiation. The chemo doctor will meet with the surgeon before she finalizes the plan. However, she said she will likely administer three doses of chemo and then retest to see if there is any change. She is hopeful to delay its progress. But it will eventually run its course.
It’s tough to take. And there have been lots of tears. But God is still good. I believe that with all my heart. And my family and I appreciate your prayers more than you can know.
I’m finding that when the big picture is too overwhelming to take in, there is comfort in taking one small step at a time. And staying close to the One who knows the way.
