Believe it or not, it’s what I have tonight! No soccer practice. No doctor or dentist appointments, no small group, no meetings at church. Just a quiet night at home with my husband working late.
So let me catch you up on what’s been happening. :)
You already know we got a puppy. She is still as cute as a button. This is her favorite spot just inside the garage door.
When she puts her chin between her front paws and flattens herself out, she looks like a little bear rug!
It’s fun to see her becoming part of the family. When she isn’t chasing someone outside, she is hanging out in the garage reading a Tom Clancy novel with one of the boys. (Smart puppy, eh?)We are watching to see if her ears are going to stand up. It’s still anyone’s guess. But we’re thinking they seem to be less “floppy” than they were. Can you feel the suspense?? Stay tuned! Lol!
In other news, we had a soccer tournament this past weekend and froze our behinds off. The boys played against teams padded with premier players and put up a good fight. But they still lost every game. We were kind of hoping for at least a tie and several games were close. But, alas, we were just happy to climb in the van and get warm at the end!
Greta came with us. She is becoming quite the little traveler! She’ll have to come to the games this weekend, too, since both are almost two hours away. It makes the trips interesting, that’s for sure!
But does it look like she minds being our little travel partner??
The only other “goings on” is that a head cold stole my nose (and apparently my thinking capacity). I’m NOT a good sport about breathing through my mouth. Hopefully, I’ll be done with it soon.
And that is really it. Puppy. Soccer. Head cold. I know it doesn’t sound like it should be enough to keep me from blogging this week. But somehow, I just felt overwhelmed, and bone-weary tired.
I hope you have a wonderfully sunny weekend and can breath out your nose every minute of it!

Can't say I've ever seen a dog lay out flat like a rug before. He sure is cute!
Why is it that beautiful weather abounds until the day of the first soccer games? Those tournaments when you can't win a game are rough. We've had some where the boys didn't eve nscore a point the whole weekend. I'm sure you did a great job helping them to stay positive, though.
Hope you feel better right quick and can enjoy breathing through your nose most of the weekend!
I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be blogging with that combination of activities/discomforts! I hope you feel better soon and that the puppy's ears stay floppy. Gotta say that I love soft, floppy dog ears. : )
