Trashing the Neighborhood

Last night we caught another bad guy. We're wondering how many we'll have to catch in order to free our trash cans from the disgrace of nightly raids. Having our refuse spread throughout the neighborhood has simply got to end.

In the mean time, my boys have learned a valuable lesson about how important it is to secure our trash can lids.

All it takes is ONE night of leaving it unlatched, and ONE lucky (or unlucky, as the case may be) raccoon to stumble onto the treasure inside, and an all-out war will ensue.

Because, that raccoon WILL tell his friends, relatives, and acquaintances. And they all WILL want to get in on the fun.

Seriously.

They must throw a party in the middle of the night and have contests to see who can drag their yogurt cup the farthest into neighboring yards.

No joke.

I diverge. Sorry. My all important tip for the day?

Take the time to LATCH those trash can lids. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

That's it.

They are cute, but can be mean!
I tagged you in a post tonight. Don't feel obligated to join though, unless you want to. :)

I always HATE it when some creature - usually a dog or a raccoon - get into the trash because they tend to spread my secret feminine products ALL OUT FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY!!!!!!!

We have to keep our containers in the garage until the morning the trash is picked up. It's usually the wind that creates a problem for us!

We have never had a problem with critters that big but we do latch every single time so that may be why.

Little buggers come by our place all the time too!

We don't have any woodland creatures in my neighborhood yet, it's still too new. Knowing me, I'd be the fool leaving food out to feed it rofl.

Our backyard neighbors said they saw two raccoons on our roof one evening. Yuck! I was none too happy about that.

Hope you win the war soon!
