I think I may have repeated a few of your ideas, but I've listed some of our tried and true lunchbox snacks here.

Have you ever had leakage issues with your Gladware containers? That's all I have, and I'm thinking I might try applesauce or yogurt in them.
Thanks for adding your ideas and link! My favorite is the cake sandwiches! What a great idea! I'll have to try freezing the tubes of yogurt, too--I never thought of that!
I've not had any trouble with the containers leaking. Mine are actually Ziplock containers, but I've used generic, too. My husband takes salad dressing in them, and occasionally mayonaise to keep it from soaking into his sandwich. So far, so good!
When I was growing up, my Mom used to bake a cake or a batch of cookies once a week and wrap individual servings in celophane and put them in the freezer. They were specifically for lunches and she must have threatened us with our lives because I don't remember any of us trying to sneak anything!!
