Home Run: Novel Giveaway!

I’ve got a great new book to give away this week!  Home Run by Travis Thrasher is the novelization of the movie staring Vivica A. Fox and Scott Elrod due out April 19.  Like Fireproof and Courageous, this faith based story promises to bring hope to countless people. 

Baseball star Cory Brand is a gifted player.  However, stories of his out of control drinking and fits of rage dominate ESPN headlines.  When one particular fit turns especially ugly, his agent is left scrambling to save his career. 

He is given one last chance.  But it requires he return to his home town to coach his brother’s little league team.  Along the way, he will have to face the painful memories he tried so desperately to forget.

Cory embarks on a journey of faith, transformation and redemption. And along the way, he discovers a powerful truth: no one is beyond the healing of God.

My expectations were pretty low when I sat down with this book.  Typically, the translation of movie to novel can make the writing seem forced.  However, I found this book totally gripping!  Very well done!!
