The End Of Our Indoor Soccer Games

Picture time!!

The boys have been playing soccer over the winter, and Saturday was the last of their indoor games.  Throughout two sessions, my boys have played on the same team to minimize my running time.

However, since the last game was between two teams that contain a large part of their spring travel team, the coach decided to divide the boys differently.  And instead of playing with each other, which my boys do very well, they played against each other!  Several parents expressed appreciation for this, lol!  And it did make the teams a little more competitive.

The game didn’t start until 8:30 P.M. and I was already feeling sleepy.  So to keep myself from dozing off and embarrassing my kids, I started taking pictures with my cell phone.  12 year old

There were lots of opportunities for “family shots” since my two were often fighting over the ball.  Above, my Middle Man has the ball.

Below, my oldest has the ball with the Middle Man right behind him.  (My little guy even made it into the picture in the far corner of the gym.  Like how I planned that?  Lol!)  oldest with ball

The little guy usually does try to get as close to the action as possible.  Sometimes, he even makes it over to the bench to sit with one of his brothers.  No doubt he is wishing for a chance to play! And hoping I won’t call him back over to sit with me.

Indoor games are a lot of fun.  No rain to deal with.  No wind.  No sweltering heat.  And no need to lug piles of lawn chairs to a distant field.

Middle Man Goal

This last picture of my oldest son and his friend battling it out came out all blurry.  But I do like how it looks using the “brush stroke” effect on my photo editor.  It makes it look like artwork instead of a lousy picture.  :)  What do you think?atistic effect

Outdoor practices have been in full swing since the beginning of this unusually warm March.  Tonight’s practice will be chilly, though.  I think I heard that temps will be dipping down to near freezing!  I’m kind of glad the boys are catching a ride with a friend, hee-hee!  (Yes, I’m feeling wimpy!  Lol!)

There will be plenty of time for me to be the diehard soccer mom in stormy terrible weather.

For tonight, I’m staying home to watch a movie with my little guy.  :)  And maybe work a little on the children’s book giveaway I hope to post soon.

Oh boy! Rain, mud, cold, lugging just about everything we own from game to game, field to field. I almost forgot about that with all of the nice weather we've been having! My kids started outside a couple of weeks ago. They've even had seven games! Crazy early.
I bet that was fun to see your boys playing against each other. Certainly makes picture taking easier!
Have a great season!

Wow, indoor soccer. That is the life. LOL!
I remember those days of sweltering heat. YUCK! I'm hoping my boys take up knitting. Ha! Ha!
Oh by the way. LOVED the movie. Can't wait for your next giveaway.
Hugs
