Giveaway!! My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software

I haven’t posted all week for a very good reason.  I can’t stop playing with this scrapbooking software!  Lol!  What’s more fun than smiling over your kids’ baby pictures?  Let me tell you!  It’s  FINALLY putting those memories into a book!

Aaron's First Year-007

My oldest son has a beautiful scrapbook.  My middle son has a shoebox full of photos.  And my youngest son has nothing but computer files.  The sad thing is, I HAVE all the supplies to actually make a ton of scrapbooks.  I just can’t find the time or motivation to drag everything out.  Tell me I’m not alone!?

Anyway, when My Memories asked me to review their newest software, I couldn’t resist.  Since I already have digital photos on file for child number three, I decided to jump right in and create his baby book.

One of my favorite features of the program is something called autofill.  It allows you to select from a number of ready-made theme-based templates, pick out what photos you want to use from a browser window, and then click autofill

In seconds, it nestles your pictures in the pages of a beautiful book, ready to print!  (Insert the sound of Angels singing here.)  I kid you not!  It can be that easy.Aaron's First Year-014

I say can be, because if you are like me, you won’t be able to resist playing around with each page.  Which is a great way to get a feel for the amazing amount of things this scrapbooking software can do!

For example, this is one of the pages in the template I chose…original

(I took a screen shot of a recreated empty page, because I didn’t think about doing that before I started changing things.)  Anyway, it soon became this…

changes

And eventually became this…Lol!

 Aaron's First Year-015

As you can see, it looks nothing like the original page!  Every single item on each page can be altered, replaced and rearranged in countless ways.

Can you say compulsive-creative-adjustment disorder?  Lol!

I’ve got it!  Even now, I’m looking at the page above and thinking…I wonder if a darker blue for the background would make things “pop” more? Or what if I used burgundy buttons instead of green flowers?

Help!!!  Lol!

These are all pages from my son’s baby book which I played around with.

Aaron's First Year-019

I seriously cannot imagine going back to physical scrapbooking.  You really need to try it out yourself to see how easy it is!

Aaron's First Year-033The best thing is, everything you need (and so much more) is included with the software.  You can make calendars, photo books, etc., even add audio and video hotspots to them.  And that’s just a tip of the ice burg.

You can save them as simple jpegs and print them out yourself, or have them printed wherever you like.  Here is a spreadsheet of printing prices if you have them printed through My Memories.  I didn’t think the prices were bad at all, especially considering how much scrapbooking materials can cost!

Of course My Memories has tons of other template packs on their site you can download—many of them for free.  But I could use this software as-is for years and never need another thing!

My only complaint was that it maxed out my processor fairly often.  Which doesn’t make the changes go as quickly as I want to make them!Aaron's First Year-032

Wouldn’t you love to give it a try?  YES???  Wonderful!  You are in luck!

Aaron's First Year-027

My Memories is giving one of my lucky readers their very own copy of My Memories Suite V3, the latest and greatest version of their software.  :)

I like the Dotty Christmas. I typically take lots of pictures at Christmas (even if I'm slack the rest of the year :) and never know quite what to do with all of them.

You did a fabulous job creating pages with your photos! I can definitely see how this could become addictive. :)

Have a great weekend!
