Martha Stewart has a really totally cool and awesome Halloween craft that even your BOYS will love…a giant dangling glowing spider!
It involves glow sticks, Styrofoam balls, an eye hook, and some elastic string to hang it from. She has pictures, a supply list, and directions on her site here. (The dollar store is a great place to find the glow sticks, btw.)
When you poke the glow sticks into the Styrofoam-ball-bodies and heads, they make them glow, too!
We bought enough supplies for each of the 5 boys going camping with us to make a smaller spider this weekend. In the past when we tried to do crafts, the boys never showed much interest.
However, this, they are excited about! They are dying to make their own and hang them around our campsite.
